Ludovic brings to Galgo Medical his expertise in musculoskeletal modeling, and his seminal work 3D modeling from 2D images. He leads the Musculoskeletal Unit, which develops software solutions (3D-DXA) from medical imaging for musculoskeletal disease management.
Ludovic has a Master Degree in Biomedical Engineering from University Arts et Métiers ParisTech (2004). He holds a PhD in Biomechanics (Arts et Métiers ParisTech, 2008). His PhD thesis was carried out at the Laboratoire de Biomécanique (Arts et Métiers ParisTech, France) in collaboration with the Laboratoire de recherche en Imagerie et Orthopédie (Ecole de Technologie Supérieure, Montréal, Canada). From 2009 to 2012 he led the research team in Musculoskeletal imaging of the CISTIB group at UPF. He has published 9 journal publications, more than 30 publications/abstracts from international conferences and is co-inventor on two PCT patents. He has been involved in several EU and Spanish/French public funded projects, in particular MySpine (FP7-ICT-2009-6-269909) and VERTEX (RD10-1-0034).
His current research and development interests include 3D anatomical and biomechanical modeling of musculoskeletal structures from medical imaging, with a particular focus on hip and spine modeling for application in osteoporosis management.
